Service includes Eer wax removal via microsuction and the Vorotex Head Light, Otoscopy and Tympanometry.  

Ear Wax is normal, and most people have it as its made by glands in the ear canal to protect from water and infection.  If it's causing You or your Hearing Aids any problems, we can generally remove via micro suction (no water) or manual curets.

Impacted Wax is a common issue and while super annoying it generally isn't a medical emergency.

The Microsuction Ear Wax Removal technique involves a small machine sucking the wax out without using water like in Irrigation techniques, and is generally considered to be the safter of the 2 common methods used and conveniently located for you in Bundaberg West

There is a $15.50 rebate with GP referral for the Tympanometry test which lets us rule out Middle Ear Infection (Glue Ear), and Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. If you are on a GP  Care Plan for a chronic condition  your GP may be able to select Audiologist as a visit to cover this test as one of the 5 free appointments available to you,   We give Pensioners a 50% discount on this item as it often interferes with successful use of hearing aids. 

If you arrive and your ears are clear of wax, we will Bulk Bill the Tympanometry test to eliminate some of the medical causes of ear fullness.  We may recommend that you apply for a voucher (pensioners), or get a GP referral for hearing testing if you feel that your hearing is diminished, but no wax is present.

Unless you have a hole in your Ear Drum (Perforation) using a wax softening agent like Waxol or Cerumol gives your Audiologist a better chance for removal.  I would recommend a min of 3 days morning and night.
